I. BOARD OF MANAGEMENT

1. Dean of Faculty: Assc.Prof.Dr. Do Thi Hai Ha

– Dean, head of the Faculty, decides and takes responsibility before the President of university and Faculty’s activities. – Dean is appointed and dismissed by the President of university. Dean has the tenure of 5 years and may be reappointed with more than two consecutive terms. Dean was chosen among a number of prestigious lecturers with experience in teaching, research and management capacity. Dean must hold a doctorate. Age of nomination of Dean requires no more than 55 for men and 50 for women. – The process of appointment, re-appointment and dismissal of Dean has to be abided by the provisions of the law and the National Economics University. – Annually, the Rector reviews the completion of assigned tasks of the Dean. If necessary, the Principal may request to implement the vote of confidence in the mid-term or extraordinary time. Dean who cannot complete the tasks must be replaced promptly.

2. Vice Dean: Assc.Prof.Dr. Mai Ngoc Anh

– The Vice Dean, as an assistant of Dean of Faculty, implements some of the tasks assigned by the Dean; reports and takes responsibility for performance before the Dean on behalf of the Dean of the Faculty to resolve assignments with the Dean’s authorization. – Each Faculty has no more than two Vice-Deans (deputy institute for the institute). Deputy Dean must have a master’s degree or higher, be a member of the prestigious faculty, have experience in teaching, scientific research and management capacity. Specifically, the Deputy Dean in charge of training, scientific activities and technology must have a doctorate. – Rector decides to appoint or dismiss the Vice-Dean. Age of nomination of Vice-Dean requires no more than 55 for men and 50 for women. The tenure of Vice-Dean follows Dean’s term and may be reappointed. – Standards, principles, processes and procedures for the appointment, re-appointment and dismissal of the Vice-Dean have to abide by the provisions of the law and the National Economics University.

– Annually, the Rector reviews the completion of assigned tasks of the Vice-Dean. If necessary, the Principal may request to implement a vote of confidence in the mid-term or during extraordinary times. A Vice-Dean who cannot complete the tasks has to be replaced promptly.

II. Manager of Departments

1. Head of Department

– Head of the Department, the leader of the Department, takes responsibility before the Dean and the President in the work of the Department. – Head of the Department is appointed by the Rector, dismissed on the basis of the proposal of the Dean. Head of the Department is required to be a respected scientist in their major and a Doctor. In special cases of a Department which is not specialized, the Head of the Department can have Master Diploma. The Deputy Head of Department must have a Master Degree or higher. – The term of the Head of the Department lasts 5 years and can be reappointed. Specific criteria and limitations of the appointed age of the Head of the Department are assigned by the Principal but not beyond working age stipulated in the Labor Code. – Standards, principles, processes and procedures for the appointment, re-appointment and dismissal of the Head of the Department and Deputy Head of the Department comply with current law and the National Economics University. – Annually, the Rector reviews the completion of assigned tasks of the Head and Deputy Head of the Department. If they do not complete the tasks, they have to be replaced promptly.

2. Deputy Head of Department

– The Deputy Head of the Department, as an assistant of the Head of the Department, implements some of the tasks assigned by the Head of the Department; reports and takes responsibility for performance before the Head of the Department and the Dean.

– The appointment and dismissal of the Deputy Head of the Department is decided by the President based on the proposals of the Head of the Department and the Dean. The Deputy Head of the Department has to be a reputable scientist in a specialized major with a master’s degree or higher. – The term of office of the Deputy Head of the Department lasts 5 years and can be reappointed. – Specific criteria and limitations of the appointed-age of the Deputy Head of Department are obeyed by the regulations of the Principals but not beyond the age of employees in accordance with labor law. – Standards, principles, processes and procedures for the appointment, re-appointment and dismissal of Deputy Head of the Department are observed by the provisions of law and the University. – Annually, the President reviews the completion of assigned tasks of the Deputy Head of the Department. If they do not complete the tasks, they have to be replaced promptly.
