Master in Public Management

The Master in Public Management has been available at the National Economics University since 2003. The graduates from this program have worked in central and local administrative agencies, non-governmental organizations, commerical organizations and non-profit organizations in domestic and international environments as public managers and public policy consultants meeting international integration needs.
Objectives
The Master in Economic Management and Policy is designed to meet academic needs by providing students with knowledge of public sector management, public organization management and some public fields management while concurrently, developing management skills, independent-working skills and creativity so that students are able to analyse and solve practical problems in public management.
Graduates would be able to find placement as public managers and public policy consultants working in central and local administrative agencies, as well as at non-governmental organizations, profit organizations and non-profit organizations in domestic and international environments.
Teaching method
The program is research-oriented and application-oriented in order to facilitate student research capacity for a research-oriented masters and practical capacity for an application-oriented masters.
The program is student-centered and combines theoretical with practical management techniques of a Vietnamese and global context in order to maximize students’ creativity and dynamism.
Lecturers
Lecturers are professors, associate professors, PhDs and masters who have graduated from top universities in developed countries such as UK, US and Australia.
The coordinator staff are experts or top managers in central and local administrative agencies. Many of them have graduated from our faculty of management science.
Learning opportunities
Graduates from this program would be able to study PhD programs in Vietnam or at other universities in developed countries such as UK, US, Australia and others.
